#DreamTeam Linky – Week 58

Hello!  Welcome to the #DreamTeam linky party, hosted by the lovely Annette & Bridget, and myself.

First of all can we please just say a huge THANK YOU to all of you that commented on our new badges and supported our new linky rule of “one post only please” that we introduced last week.  We have always known that you #DreamTeamers are a lovely bunch but  Annette, Bridget and I were so touched by all the lovely comments that we received last week.  Thank you – you all make this the friendly and welcoming place to link that it is!

This week we have the three of us all set and ready to read and share your posts, however next week both Annette and myself are jetting off on a little adventure. Taking the #DreamTeam reins next week will be our lovely Bridget, accompanied by our regular guest co-host Nicola of All Things Spliced.  They will also be joined by Peachy’s Mummy of Diary of a Little Peach and Helen at Talking Mums.  We’re very excited to welcome these lovely #DreamTeam regulars into the driving seat.  Please pop by their sites next week!

#DreamTeam will go live every Tuesday morning from 6am and will close Thursday evening at 9pm.

Please link ONE POST only, old or new.

By linking up, you are giving us permission to send you an email and/or tweet reminder for the #DreamTeam each week.

Each of us will choose 2 posts to feature every week, and our featured bloggers will get their very own prestigious #DreamTeam featured badge.

My first fave is on a subject that is so very close to my heart right now and is a favourite for me for my own (ok yes I’m really biased) reasons:

Charlie at Mess and Merlot – 10k Before, During and After

I was so inspired to read about Charlie’s journey from Couch to 5k a few weeks ago, especially as I had just started the same journey myself.   Her story and her success in achieving the elusive 5k has kept my little cake filled self waddling at 6am on a morning this last couple of months.  I did not know that she has since gone on to continue her training and has just completed an amazing 10k run for a brilliant cause.  I am so excited and a little bit (ok a lot) in awe of her achievement.  Well done Charlie – you rock!

I have to put my usual giggles and nonsense aside now for a moment to reflect on the difficult and frankly terrifying times that we are currently facing in the UK.  I am quite literally speechless.  I have no words that can do justice to the uncertainty and fear that I now feel as a mum, and I can’t begin to comprehend the pain and the loss that so many have encountered in the terrible events of the last few weeks.  What I lack in words I can only offer in love and in my thoughts.  My heart goes out to everyone impacted.

The other post that I need to feature this week was written following the terrible events in Manchester, and linked before the horrendous attacks in London this weekend:

So Happy In Town – This is What I’d Like To Do: A Dedication

Reading this both broke my heart and helped it to mend a little all in one post.  It captures all of the things that I can’t find the words to say right now.  Featuring and sharing it here with utmost respect and nothing but love, and to quote Susie’s powerful post:

“I’d like them to know that for every monster out there there are a thousand angels. ”

Please do check out the featured posts from Annette and Bridget as always too.

Featured bloggers – Please help yourselves to the featured badge:

Rhyming with Wine

  • Badge up. Please do add the #DreamTeam badge or text link to each post that you link up. You can do this by copying and pasting the badge code into the text/HTML area of your post within your publishing platform.

Rhyming with Wine
  • Tweet it. Share your posts on Twitter using the linky hashtag #DreamTeam and tag in Annette, Bridie and I for retweets using @3_LittleButtons @BridieByTheSea and @rhymingwithwine.
  • Let’s get this party started. Please comment on one of each of the host’s posts, so that will be one of Annette’s posts, one of Bridget’s posts and one of mine. Please also comment on the post directly before yours.  Please do make sure that you pop by and comment on at least the post before yours and more if you can.  We all understand how busy life is and none of us want to pester anyone, but linkies only work if everyone does their bit.  Thanks to all of you that go out of your way to comment and share the #bloglove.
