Grab a cuppa. It’s #DreamTeam Linky time! We are usually hosted by Annette, Bridget, and myself, but this week we are lucky to be joined by our regular star guest host Nicola of All Things Spliced while Annette takes a little break.
We’re a friendly bunch here at #DreamTeam and this is a welcoming place to share all of your September stories. That being said, September in the UK also tends to bring with it a number of less than welcome visitors of the 8 legged variety. I’ve had a recent request to revive a post I wrote last year in honour of the hairy little beasts, and so if you’re of a nervous disposition please click on my host post with caution this week. (Oh and please excuse all the swears. Because spiders!)
#DREAMTEAM LINKY DETAILS
#DreamTeam will go live every Tuesday morning from 6am and will close Thursday evening at 9pm.
Please link ONE POST only, old or new.
By linking up, you are giving us permission to send you an email and/or tweet reminder for the #DreamTeam each week.
Each of us will choose 2 posts to feature every week, and our featured bloggers will get their very own prestigious #DreamTeam featured badge.
MY FAVOURITE POSTS FROM LAST WEEK:
We all look forward to the special milestones as our little ones grow, and the early weeks and months can feel like an exciting list of achievements waiting to be ticked off. But I think all of our littles have a tendency to race ahead in some things, and perhaps not tick the box quite so quickly in others. This post really touches me as Sarah speaks so honestly about how this makes her feel, and about her own experiences with what I think is a strong and empowering attitude. I couldn’t agree more: “She will get there. She will.“
My second favourite from last week is by Nic – our guest co-host for this week:
Another incredibly touching piece of writing by Nicola, as she bravely shares her story here in such a relatable way. Living with PND can literally tear us apart, and this post captures the inner torment which so many of us feel trapped by: “How can this be the case when I love that little chap like my life depends on it? It’s not like I don’t want him, don’t love him. I love him like any mother loves their child; it’s a love that’s selfless and all consuming and at times overwhelming. And it’s not like he doesn’t make me laugh – in amongst the tears of course – every day. So how could this be PND, two years in?” My heart broke to read that Nic has been feeling this way, but I absolutely applaud and respect her for sharing her experience as I think that so many other mums will be able to draw strength knowing that they are not alone in the way they are feeling. Thank you Mrs Lighty x

#DREAMTEAM LINKY RULES
If you are new to linkies I have written a separate post with all of the how-to stuff here which might be handy.
- Badge up. Please do add the #DreamTeam badge or text link to each post that you link up. You can do this by copying and pasting the badge code into the text/HTML area of your post within your publishing platform.
- Tweet it. Share your posts on Twitter using the linky hashtag #DreamTeam and tag in Annette, Bridie and I for retweets using @MrsLighty @BridieByTheSea and @rhymingwithwine.
- Let’s get this party started. Please comment on one of each of the host’s posts, so that will be one of Nicola’s posts, one of Bridget’s posts and one of mine. Please also comment on the post directly before yours.
We hosts love to share your post with our twitter followers and it really helps us to do this if you have sharing buttons and your twitter handle available. If you’re not sure how to do this Annette has written a great post about how to make your posts shareable on twitter here.
IF YOU CAN COMMENT ON MORE… THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.
- Finally, it would be really lovely if you could follow, like and subscribe to our social media channels.
