Hi! Welcome to your #DreamTeam bloggers linky – hosted by Annette of 3 Little Buttons, Bridget of Bridie By The Sea and myself. This week I am stepping aside and our lovely new guest co-host Heather of Shank You Very Much is picking up the #DreamTeam reins in my place for the very first time. Please pop by to check out her host post and give her a huge welcome!
I couldn’t publish my host post today without sharing this beautifully written piece by our fantastic host Annette. Many of you that have linked with #DreamTeam may have noticed that our little community has been joined with a number of posts from bloggers who haven’t been taking part in with our linky in any of the ways that we would usually hope to see. (We’re not talking the odd forgotten comment or badge, here, we’re talking bloggers that are repeatedly link dropping, often several posts and not making any effort to join in at all.) This has such a negative impact on any linky and after a few weeks of noting the same things happening we have taken steps to stop this in the future. #DreamTeam is a welcoming and friendly community, and we want all of you that take the time to link and comment each week to receive the blog-love that you absolutely deserve.
Please have a read: An Open Letter To The Blogger Linky Link Droppers.
Thank you for reading and for linking, I hope you have a fab week and I’ll be back next time!
Here’s the link up and how it works:
#DREAMTEAM LINKY RULES
1. Add one post to the #DreamTeam linky, which goes live every Tuesday morning at 6am and will close on Thursday at 9pm.
2. Add the #DreamTeam linky badge or a text link to the bottom of your linked up post. If you are adding this to a side/bottom bar or linky page, please do ensure this is clear to avoid being missed out of commenting.
4. Please comment on each of the hosts linked posts PLUS the post directly before your own (a total of 4 posts as a minimum). If the post before your own does not carry the #DreamTeam badge or text link, you are not required to leave a comment.
5. Optional. Get into the party spirit and tweet/add comments to any additional posts you have really enjoyed. Other bloggers are more likely to return the favour if you do! It’s a #winwin all round. As hosts, we will aim to retweet your posts again as we read them, as long as you have included your twitter handle in your sharing buttons.
*By linking up, you are giving us permission to send you an email and/or tweet reminder for the #DreamTeam each week.
If you are new to linkies I have written a separate post with all of the how-to stuff here which might be handy.
MY FAVOURITE POSTS FROM LAST WEEK:
I found this post really thought provoking to read and it raised so many valid points that I hadn’t necessarily picked up on, but are definitely evident in society today. How often do we actually praise our little boys for showing empathy and the skills that they will potentially need to be a “good daddy” one day? I always like to think that I encourage our little boy’s caring side, but I can see so much of Dave’s well written points when I stop and reflect. Definitely one to read if you missed it last week.
I love a good pregnancy announcement and this brilliant post by Abi rounds up some of the best and most creative ideas out there. With lots of contributions from the talented families of Blogland, this one will definitely add a smile to your morning cuppa!
