#happylittlebuttons – Our New Instagram Community

Those of you that have popped by my site before will probably already know that I am a self confessed dinosaur when it comes to all things techie.  The bright and shiny world of Instagram has always been a little bit lost on me, until, after a whole year of blogging I finally decided to man up embrace it and I got myself officially Instagrammed up!

After putting it off for so long I am now kicking myself for not joining the party sooner!  I quickly found lots of my lovely bloggy buddies and discovered a whole new world full of stunning images and amazing quotes.

First impressions: It has knocked my bloggy socks off!

I had just started to get my head around the whole hashtag thingy when two of my blog besties got in touch to see whether I would like to join them in setting up an Instagram community all of our very own!

My answer was something like this: “Yes please!  What is one?”

I’m sure that most of you are probably already fluent in IG, but for those (like me) that aren’t… The lovely Annette at 3 Little Buttons Blog and Mrs Lighty at Sugar and Spice and All Things Spliced kindly explained that sharing an “Insta hashtag” would allow us all to come together as a little community to share our favourite images and quotes with a mutual theme.

The theme for our hashtag is happy moments, memories and things that made you smile.

By adding the hashtag #happylittlebuttons to any images, we can all enjoy each others posts, and at the end of the month Annette, Mrs Lighty and I will do a monthly round up and share our favourites across our social media platforms.

For me, the best thing about blogging is the amazing people that form part of our brilliant community, and I love the idea of being able to share some #bloggerlove over on Instagram too.  We would love you to take part.  Please tag us in any images or quotes that you upload to Instagram, and that you think capture our theme by adding #happylittlebuttons to the comments section of your post.

I can’t wait to see what you all have to share and we’ll look forward to compiling our first round up at the end of the month!

If you’d like to find and follow us on Instagram too we’re just over here *waves*:

Annette – 3 Little Buttons
Mrs Lighty – Sugar and Spice and All Things Spliced
Dawn – Rhyming with Wine

Thanks and we’ll hopefully “see” you soon!

  1. I am a HUGE fan of instagram and am missing all our Summer days out and photo opportunities! I’ll add #happylittlebuttons to my ever growing hashtag list, such a great idea. xx
    Thanks for sharing with #coolmumclub

  2. I have put your hashtag in a few of my pics on Instagram. I also just joined another Instagram community and am new to the group thing. I’ve been on Instagram for awhile but I still get a little lost with all the hashtag stuff, LOL! Popping over from #momsterlink

    1. Thanks lovely! Well we’re here and it’s possibly the only place in the UK that isn’t experiencing glorious sunshine – in fact it’s chucking it down, but otherwise yes thank you. It’s lovely here! 🙂

Please do join our little #happylittlebuttons gang. I’ll keep an eye out for you. Big bloggy hugs xx

    1. Good point Catie! You’re right thinking about it. I just assumed I was only seeing them because my two are littlies but I haven’t seen much for older children at all. Sounds like you have a fabulous plan! 🙂 Thank you for hosting and commenting xx

  3. I usually post a lot of vulgar, sarcastic quotes on Instagram but the times I have a “sweet” post I will try to remember to use the hashtag. I love this idea. Thanks for linking with #momsterslink and being oh so patient with the fact that I am so behind in my blogging right now. Hubby has been working crazy overtime which has left me on my own with busy school and sports schedules.

    1. I hear you hon! I think you do a brilliant job and as you say – you never leave a post unloved! We’d love to have you at #happylittlebuttons. My quotes are sometimes quite sarcastic too – the other two co-creators were happy with it though as a bit if sarcasm is needed sometimes to hit our happy buttons as Mums! (Or so they said haha). Love your quotes! Your “cat” one made me howl the other day! x
